Sr. Director, Global Insights
We do business in an ever-changing consumer landscape. By identifying trends and challenging assumptions, we can develop compelling narratives that ultimately result in consumer- centric strategies, actionable insights and revenue growth.
Johanna Stein spends her days looking under rocks, reading tea leaves and peeking around corners, all in the name of identifying trends that inspire new strategies and play platforms for Mattel. Johanna leads a team focused on the changing consumer landscape, which includes monitoring industry evolution, technology integration, emerging cultural conversation and identifying white space opportunities applicable to Mattel’s core demographic groups.
Additionally, Johanna leads primary research for over 30 brands within the Mattel portfolio, covering properties from toddler toys to adult collectibles. As the kids say, her job is hella rad!
Co-Founder & President
Your intrapreneurs, those are the mavens in the organization, these are the believers, the ones that are making things happen. Help find them and bring them together. Intrapreneurs@Allstate is the organization’s 10th employee resource group. It is a grassroots community of corporate entrepreneurs that take action on innovative ideas to have impact, build bridges, effect change and drive getting things done.
Maria Odiamar Racho is an Organizational Effectiveness Practice Lead at Allstate Corporation, where she specializes in culture, complex systems and networks, leader effectiveness, strategy and change. She is also the founder of two Employee Resource Groups, the Allstate Asian American Network (3AN), and Intrapreneurs@Allstate (I@A). Her passion centers on enabling human systems to tap into and unleash potential so that they can achieve their purpose and mission. The intrapreneur, just like the entrepreneur of a small business, is the driving force behind their idea and vision. When the intrapreneurs’ energy is focused on the needs of the business, imagine the collective impact that can be accomplished.
Her passion carries into her work as a non-profit board member/pro-bono consultant (OCA-Chicago, United Way of Lake County, Big Brothers Big Sisters) and as an entrepreneur of small for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. Maria also finished her Executive Masters of Science in Organizational Development at Pepperdine University.

Ceiling fans. Yawn. The whole category has become commoditized, dominated by private label. Learn how Hunter Fan is resetting the category by using innovation methods. The hardest part of the resetting was getting the Hunter executives to commit to a winning innovation strategy and change old behaviors limiting growth. This risk averse culture learned how to change it’s priorities and practices.
Michael Graber is the managing partner of the Southern Growth Studio, an insight, innovation, and strategy firm based in Memphis, TN, and the author of Going Electric. Clients include Claritin, Jack Nicklaus, Hunter Fan, FedEx, St. Jude, and many more.
